The goal of the Culturally Responsive Early Childhood Project is to increase the ability of early childhood professionals to provide culturally relevant/responsive education and care to Native American children ages birth to six. In partnership with the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council (GLITC) Birth to Three program, the work focuses on building relationships and strengthening partnerships amongst tribes, community partners and governmental agencies. The purpose of this work is to ensure the appropriate identification and provision of special education services to young Native American children and their families in Wisconsin.
